Accommodation

The conference venue will be “De Zeeuwse Stromen”

Heinkenszand, where the farm visits will take place, and Renesse, where the conference hotel is, are in the Dutch province of Zealand. Zealand consists of number of islands and peninsulas in the westernmost part of the Netherlands. It borders Belgium to the south and west, North Brabant to the east, South Holland to the north – and the North Sea in the West. It is famous for its beaches, historical cities – and of course its cultural heritage, as well as wildlife and natural parks.

Our venue will be in the touristic village of Renesse, close to the dunes, natural parks, and 17 km of a broad sand beach. Maybe we will even see seals?

If not, we will definitely see blackcurrants and learn a lot about plant protection, irrigation and the influence of climate change on blackcurrants from most interesting speakers at De Zeeuwse Stromen.
